The kitchen was the primary intervention in this Upper East Side apartment. Formerly a galley accessed from the foyer, the kitchen was partially opened up to the living room and lightened with white lacquer and Carrara marble. White oak panels and cabinets define the exterior of the kitchen. In the foyer, a desk and storage behind pivot and slide doors transform the formal entry into a study. In the bathroom, a limestone floor and large cream porcelain tiles reflect light. A lit niche runs the length of the bathroom, bending around the shower. Additional millwork includes custom radiator covers, the foyer floating cabinet, and floating bedside tables.
