The space for 700 Park was designed to serve as a streamlined modern backdrop to the owner’s art. Millwork divisions between rooms provide compartmentalized displays and permit the entire apartment to feel reminiscent of a gallery in flow and focus. Cleverly concealed storage and built in walls with pocket doors keep the apartment functional but clean. White oak, limestone, and high gloss white lacquer are subtle background materials for art while a full height backsplash in red sculptural tile adds pizzazz in the kitchen. A mosaic wall of handmade katami glass provides a dramatic accent in the bathroom shower.
